Your story is yours

  • You can see every source in your story in your data vault, and remove any of it. What it added leaves your story with it.
  • You can download everything we hold about you, including your files, at any time from your account.
  • You can delete your story, or your whole account, yourself.
  • We never sell your information and never use it for advertising.

Nothing is shared until you say so

  • Your story reaches a doctor only when you approve it and choose to share it, as a PDF or a link.
  • You can see when a link was opened, and turn it off whenever you like.
  • Each new version of your story needs your approval again before it can be shared.

What Sanare does, and what it never does

Sanare organizes what you share into one story, with every fact traced back to where it came from: your words, a record or your health form.

It never diagnoses, never recommends treatment and never judges how urgent something is. Those belong to your clinician. If something you write sounds like an emergency, we show crisis contacts for where you are.

How we use AI

  • AI models help us read your records and organize your story: Azure OpenAI, run by Microsoft, and Anthropic's Claude. Both are under agreements for health information, and neither uses your information to train its models.
  • What the AI writes into your story is checked by our own rules, and facts without a source are left out.

How we protect it

  • Your story is stored with Microsoft Azure in the United States, encrypted when it is stored and when it travels.
  • We have business associate agreements, the agreements health information requires, with Microsoft and Anthropic.
  • Passwords are stored only as secure one-way hashes. You can turn on two-step sign-in with a code sent to your email.
  • Records you email to us are accepted only from your own verified address.
  • Our service sits behind a web application firewall, and sign-in attempts are rate-limited.
