Sanare applies the safeguards and rights described in this notice to everyone's health information, regardless of how privacy laws classify a particular use of the service.

Your health information is protected

This notice describes how your health information may be used and disclosed and how you can get access to it. We treat the health information you share with Sanare as confidential and handle it consistent with applicable privacy laws.

How we use and disclose your health information

• To provide the service to you — to organize your story and generate the summary you choose to create.
• When you direct us to — for example, when you share your brief with a practitioner via a link or export. You control these disclosures.
• As required by law — where a disclosure is legally mandated.

We do not sell your health information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Our safeguards and agreements

Your health information is stored and processed within our Microsoft Azure environment. Where third parties process health information on our behalf, we put appropriate agreements in place (for example, Business Associate Agreements where required) and require them to protect it.

Your rights

• Access — view every source of information in your data vault and export a copy.
• Amend / correct — edit the facts in your story, and correct your summary before sharing.
• Delete — remove any source, or delete your entire story and account.
• Restrict sharing — you decide who, if anyone, sees your brief.
• Be informed — of a breach affecting your information, as required by law.

Not a medical provider

Sanare does not diagnose, treat, or provide medical advice. It helps you organize your own information to bring to a qualified clinician.
